About Massif MSP

Tech support that just works.

A managed service provider (MSP) provides direct support through helpdesk or advising to businesses and individuals for IT, computers, networking, or technology. By providing this support, it enables the contracting business to outsource and eliminate the expense of devoting a full-time staff-person to solving each technical issues the business encounters.

Even the smallest businesses may need help with concepts they may not be aware of: monthly patching, DNS records for third party integrations, hosting, antivirus monitoring and response, risk analysis, business continuity planning, VPNs, and software. Finding the right IT solution isn't just more technology, it's finding options that your finance and operations people approve of too. The Managed Service Provider can help in four main ways, (1) execution of IT services (installation, fixing things, doing things), (2) solutions role (planning based on business issues, implementing focused on problems), (3) advising (proactive discussions and actions centered on being an industry-leader and accelerating business growth) or (4) combinations of those. By partnering with Massif MSP, you're not buying a product, you're buying a teammate with years of knowledge on what will help your business succeed in the IT space.

Our Core Values

We listen to and build on our client's brand. We design systems and relationships for on-belay partnership, we fix broken things as a side effect. We define the scope, examine the data, and work through options to identify the context, risks, incentives, tradeoffs and areas it may breakdown. We initiate with vendors to achieve the send on what others just tolerate. We forge paths when no one is watching.

Our founder, Joe Mendez (connect with him on LinkedIn) holds a P-BS in Cybersecurity from a National Security Administration's Center for Cyber Excellance in Cyber Defense as well as an associate's in Business Administration. He was appointed from over 46,000 staff to the committee for IT Leadership for a Fortune 500 company. He's flown as far as Los Angeles to lead consultations with senior business management. Joe scoped, designed, and received approvals for a 3-year strategic IT plan for a half-million dollars of dedicated CAPEX and OPEX IT projects focused on accelerating business growth in the industrial manufacturing sector. Joe has also helped MSPs in Maine and California respond to a diverse assortment of cybersecurity incidents. But beyond cyber response, he's a people person who learned that implementing policies that are on budget and that people will follow is just as important as design in building secure, resilient businesses. In his free time, Joe enjoys spending time with family, playing with his dogs, and watering his ginger, passion fruit vines, orchids, lemon, and fig trees. Joe also frequently volunteers for the Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program with over 200 hours volunteered.

The Diamond Logo

Our logo is a wireless symbol coming off Mount Washington's (Agiocochook) peak encompassed in a diamond. Even on the mountain, you can't escape the need for computers and technology. The trees symbolize Maine. The sun and full moon positions indicate it's morning, but the shadows indicate it's sunset, indicating our comprehensive coverage. In skiing and cybersecurity, the diamond shape indicates preperation for adverse conditions reflecting computers and Mt. Washington's adverse conditions. The diamond emphasizes how our focus is technology that can enhance your business so you can keep your business (your mountain, your massif) in focus.
